Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager who can help us build a foundation for how we serve our stakeholders at Liferaft. We take an expansive view of Product at our company as anything that impacts the experience of someone interacting with us, from enrollment to claims to customer service and compliance. This is a foundational role where you will help to define how we serve the members of our ecosystem going forward.

Things you might do:

Run user interviews with either prospective customers/clients or current/lost customers or clients, translating the insights you derive into product targets and opportunities

First pass QA and QC testing of our products ensuring we meet the highest quality bar

Communicate requirements to engineering and work to understand any engineering constraints of our system

Help customers resolve problems by email, chat, phone or whatever channel they need

Monitor and flag system health issues you find or observe through customer or broker calls/emails

Write memos to keep leadership apprised of problems or opportunities and advocate for solutions to internal stakeholders

Pragmatic, you don’t miss the forest for the trees and can reason about when a solution is practical and makes sense

Organized, you can manage and stay on top of multiple simultaneous workstreams

Thrive under ambiguity, you prefer the chaotic beauty of an early stage company to a big company box

Experience you might have:

Worked with web copy and design, editing html directly or using design tools such as Figma, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite

Ran social media or online advertising campaigns

Supported or run online or distributed communities

Worked in customer service, customer success, or sales at a growing startup

Thought critically about products you both love and hate with concrete reasons as to why
